Principal's Message

Dear Knoch Middle School Parents,

I am delighted to welcome you all to a new academic year filled with endless possibilities for growth, learning, and leadership. Our commitment is to provide a nurturing and empowering environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

At Knoch Middle School, we believe that every student has the potential to be a leader. We are proud to be a Leader in Me school, where we embrace the principles of Stephen R. Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. These habits serve as our guiding principles and empower our students to become proactive, goal-oriented, and responsible individuals who can positively influence their communities.

Our school community will actively engage in fostering these habits through various initiatives and opportunities. Students will develop their own leadership portfolios, where they can document their academic growth, achievements, and contributions to the school and the wider community. These portfolios will be a testament to their leadership journey and serve as a valuable resource when they move into high school and beyond.

Throughout the year, we will integrate leadership education into our curriculum, ensuring that every student has the chance to learn and practice essential leadership skills. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to creating engaging and innovative lessons that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication.

Furthermore, we will provide numerous extracurricular activities and leadership development programs that will allow students to explore their interests, develop new talents, and make a positive impact on society. These activities will range from student councils and service clubs to sports teams and community outreach initiatives.

As parents and guardians, your partnership is vital to the success of our students. We encourage you to support your child's leadership journey by reinforcing the 7 Habits at home and by actively engaging in school activities and events. Together, we can help our students reach their fullest potential and become compassionate leaders who positively contribute to the world around them.

I am excited to embark on this journey with each and every one of you. Let us work together to create a vibrant and empowering school community where leadership flourishes. Here's to an ELITE year filled with growth, success, and endless possibilities!

Sincerely,
Dr. Tyler Vargo
